since the update i have since be playing with my cape off. many other of my guilds have done the same but now we are experiencing guild drop. we temp drop from the guild. after a few minutes you will be back in guild. happens anytime you zone.

has anyone else noticed this with guild drop?

This has happened extremely frequently ever since I turned off my cape yesterday.

Yea i noticed this happening this morning. I posted about it on Gamefaqs, but that site is full of FF7 fanboys an morons that they claimed I was lying and that the glitch was "So old Jesus wrote about it." I hate that place....

It is not the cape toggle. Me and others of my guild had the cape on and it happened to us all the time today. Besides, the cape is just an appearance thing, it is not likely to be the cause of this bug.

Myself and a couple of other guildies have had our capes toggled off since the option came in. As I am aware, only I ever had the guild drop issue, once, for about 2 seconds, as I logged in.

I'm sure w/ or w/o cape, u'll also experience this. Lot of my guildmates experienced this one its just not same time. It happens on everyone i think.

Edit: Nevermind...after finally logging on today...my account, all 4 characters...my girlfriends account and my brothers account are all expeierencing this. Though once my account got back in, I looked and seen they kicked my girlfriend from the guild...my guild leader just randomly kicked 7 people from the guild...I'm going to have to have a talk with him now...

Our entire guild has been randomly getting dropped/readded to the guild for the whole day, most always played with their capes (I personally did not) but many many of us experienced it all the same.

The guild that I am in has been getting dropped frequently, but each member always recover. For some reason I have been guildless the entire day and never receive the guild tag back. I am still in the guild, but its been acting looney all day to me. The members have the guild tag and hall, but the guild chat isn't working for them.

the guild tags issue was there in random districts a week or two before the toggle at the very least, guys. i could prove that if screenies were timestamped on the image itself, heh... me and my boyfriend were exploring, and stumbled one day into a town somewhere in the shiverpeaks where it took me a min to realize "there's something wrong with this picture... doh! no one has guild capes! O_O" this was a week or two before Halloween, hence before the toggle.

The toggle's just a cosmetic thing anyways, this started happening before it was implemented, therefore i don't think they are connected.

would love to know what's really up, straight from Anet, though... hope they can tell us soon, that they're aware and are tracking it down..

Previously, it seemed as if people that used the Cape toggle were more suspectable to the guild-drop bug. However, as of today, it seems to be happening indiscriminately.

Can't confirm this - I turned off the cape on all my characters the moment the patch was released. I didn't experience any guild drops until yesterday - which means the cape toggle worked fine for almost two weeks.

I don't think it is, I had my guild cape and headgear turned off since the patch came out and had no problems. However the issue randomlly happens, and tends to get worse over time, followed by neterror 7s as well.

I sure A.net are working on fixing the issue, I hope so. Since my and my guild were going to do some GvG, but easier said then done with half the team unable to get to guildhall.

its not linked to the cape toggle causing it but with the cape turned on all the time i get guild drope less.

so far haven't be kicked from the guild in 2 hours since i switched it.

I think this is happening since yesterday so i guess anet is having problems with their servers

That is the most likely cause of the issue, I really do feel this has nothing to do with the cape toggle at all. As his issue has happened before in the past.

Since it was very bad yesterday, most likely its a A.net related issue.

wasn't there a problem with guild drop when they added support for more languages? didn't they just add this support to the EU servers? weren't europeans compaining of guild drops last week?

it is just a recurring bug. it has been seen before and, no doubt, will be seen again.

Same here on and off. It happens sometimes when i port or zone somewhere. sometimes it only lasts a couple of seconds and other times it lasts until i zone and other times i have to log off of GW compleately before it is fixed.
